Preparations

  1. To promote better understanding for the experiments, you are separated to be 2 groups. (each group is maximum 4 persons)

  2. Individual PC is provided for each group. All procedure can be executed by each PC, except the frequency response experiments and control experiments. For the execution of the experiments, use the PC located by the side of the experimental apparatus.

  3. The following is a screen shot of PC:

  4. all materials that are used in this experiments (C programs, experimental results, etc.) will be linked from http://www.yanabelab.nagaokaut.ac.jp/~exp/.
Click the link now. (For the convenience for the operations bellow, open another mozilla window.)

  5. the directory 1 and 2 correspond to the group 1 and 2 respectively. Click the link corresponding your group.

  6. Experimental results will be stored in the directory named 'data', which should be prepared at beginning of the experiments. To make the 'data' directory, type the following command on the kterm window.
    % cd ~/WWW/1 (or 2)
    % mkdir data

(Note that the percent character `%' above stands for command prompt. Don't type `%'.)

  7. Confirm that the directory 'data' is created by re-loading the page on mozilla window. Moreover, click 'data' and confirm that the directory is empty now.
Because our experimental environment has only one Matlab license, the group 1 and 2 use the same user ID 'exp'. Therefore, be careful when you change, move or copy files and/or directories, preventing from unnecessary overwriting.
